Every wrestling parent wants their kid to win.
But at what cost?
Let me ask you something… and I need you to be brutally honest:
Would you rather your kid win a state title now… and pay for it later with chronic injuries, burnout, or worse?
Or would you rather they develop into a healthy, confident adult who still loves you and the sport years after the mats?
Let me tell you what I’ve seen:
- 🚨 Kids cutting 10+ lbs before puberty
- 🚨 Parents cheering as their child limps through pain to win
- 🚨 Coaches glorifying overtraining, ignoring the signs of concussion and exhaustion
- 🚨 Families losing trust in each other because winning got put ahead of well-being
And the worst part?
Nobody’s teaching parents how to navigate this. You’re expected to “just figure it out.”
Here’s what you NEED to know:
- Weight-cutting before puberty is dangerous. It affects growth, hormones, and long-term health. The #1 rule? If it feels sketchy, IT IS.
- One more match isn’t worth a torn ACL. Joint injuries at a young age can linger for life. Pull them if something’s off. You’re the parent. Period.
- Concussions are real… and ignored way too often. If your child gets their bell rung, they need rest, not more matches.
- Mental health matters. If your kid dreads practice, it’s a warning sign. Wrestling should build them, not break them.
You can raise a champion without destroying your child.
I’ve done it. I’ve helped families do it. And I built the Wrestling Parent Masterclass to teach you exactly how.
Learn how to:
- Navigate weight management safely
- Prevent injuries through smarter training
- Set boundaries with coaches and tournaments
- Keep your relationship with your child strong through every match
If you love your kid more than the next medal, this is your next step:

Wrestling is tough. Parenting a wrestler is tougher.
You don’t have to do it alone.
